Scott Byrne
University of Sydney, NSW, Australia

Scott is a Professor of Immunology at The University of Sydney and Deputy-Director of the Centre for Immunology and Allergy Research at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research. Professor Byrne and his team use cutting-edge interrogation techniques to study the skin immune system. In collaboration with medicinal chemists, this is allowing him to design novel strategies to manipulate the immune cells and molecules involved in inflammatory skin disease and develop potentially new treatment options for psoriasis and eczema.
