- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

I am an Early Career Researcher that has started his post-doctoral position under Doctor Nicholas Eyre at Flinders University. I have completed by PhD under Professor Christopher Proud, as part of the Cell Signalling and Gene Regulation Group at SAHMRI.
During my PhD, I worked on investigating how eukaryotic elongation factor 2 kinase and autophagy work together to assist cancer cells in surviving nutrient deprived conditions. During this time, I gained a wealth of experience in studying cell signalling and studying the mechanisms by which cancer cells gain resistance to harsh conditions.
Currently, I am investigating the interactions of Dengue virus non-structural protein NS4B and the mechanisms of action of the dengue antiviral inhibitor JNJ-A07.
