Christina Nedeva
La Trobe University, VIC, Australia

Dr. Christina Nedeva’s research career stems from that of an infection and immunity background. Her PhD and first post-doctoral studies at La Trobe University (LIMS) focused on identifying apoptotic factors involved in immune cell death during sepsis. She published novel findings pertained to this work in Nature Immunology in 2020. In more recent times, she has shifted her focus in a new research field which involves investigating that role of executioner caspases in extracellular vesicle (EV) biogenesis. This research is being carried out at LIMS under the supervision of Prof. Suresh Mathivanan, an EV field expert.
